Only
66 to 68 Jazz Bass have the oval tuning machine. The decal was
still applied over the finish but the text below the logo was better
formatted.
Of
course the decal has got some scratches just because is exposed. |
| I
have never understood why only 66 - 68 basses had the oval tuning
machine when all the others have got the flower shape. |
| |
Yes,
it is |
It
seems that before 66 the tuning machine had not the Fender logo impressed.
Perhaps
was CBS to add it? Who knows!
Yes,
somebody knows that at that time Fender was under CBS, but till the
end of 60's they just built Leo Fender bass. |
 |
| Do
you think the machine is a bit dirty some place? Hey, but I am not perfect. |

Here
it is, the identification card.
In
effect doesn't mean really much since the plate you can just unscrew
it. But what do you think, I haven't checked the neck bottom? Of
course! They concorde. After the dealer told me was a 60's I would
to see which year.
Perhaps
a good ear can recognise it by the voice, but you know, curiosity
is a very bad illness. |
Next
year we will have a celebration, 30 years together. I will have to organize
a gig.
Oh, there is still something that I want to show you. Come
on... we are at the end. |
